Order of Service/ Order of The Day

If you are having a big church wedding or very formal affair then it is advisable to have an Order of Service (or Order of The Day if not religious). For an informal civil ceremony they aren't really necessary but can be a nice keepsake for the guests. Civil Partnerships may also benefit as fewer people are familiar with them and something to explain the ceremony is often welcome.

Whoever is conducting the service will usually provide you with a template to work to so use this as guidance. If you want your stationery supplier to print the inserts then send them a copy of the template too so they don't make any changes.

Remember that most couples will share an order of service between them, they are quite expensive items of wedding stationery and you don't want them to be wasted!
